JOB OPPORTUNITY 
MARKET FACILITATOR
World Vision International (Rwanda) is
a child focused Christian humanitarian organization implementing development
programs in 15 Districts of Rwanda.
World Vision Rwanda seeks to hire a
highly qualified, dedicated and experienced national for the position of Market
Facilitator. The position will be based in Kiramuruzi and reporting to the JICA
Project Manager.
Purpose of the position:

The Market Facilitator will facilitate
the implementation of the Project for improving marketing and management of the
producer groups (PIMM)  in the two Area Development Programs in
collaboration with JICA and other partners, and ensure producer groups and
smallholder farmers achieve results according to the requirements of the
project.
Communicate World Vision’s Christian
ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.
The major responsibilities include:
• Provide mentoring and coaching to
producer groups and producers to build local capacity for understanding and
connecting with markets;
•Participate in regular market
research, market monitoring, market trends and market information feedback for
various commodities Mobilize producer groups and conduct trainings to build
their capacities on group management, financial literacy, basic market skills,
value chain innovation, and production skills; and facilitate smallholder farmers
to access micro-financial services if appropriate
•Plan, organize, participate and
facilitate various workshops with producer groups, producers, traders, market
participants and other stakeholders according to the project Log frame
•Identify and build strategic linkages,
relations, collaborations and networks with partners and other stakeholders in
implementation as well as ensure that PIMM Project activities are integrated or
synchronized with ongoing ADPs and projects by other stakeholder so as to
ensure sustainability and avoid duplication.
•Supervise and support Local Market
Facilitators as they implement activities to support producer groups and
producers
•Effectively document all information
related to project successes/ best practices/ challenges, create a bank of
pictures, videos, and most significant change stories on the project in the
project area
•Support and contribute to effective
project management through communicating timely, adequately and appropriately
to project members and sharing information from the field.
Qualifications:
Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
• The Market Facilitators should
possess degrees in Marketing, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration,
Agribusiness, Social Work, Agriculture or Animal Science with strong experience
of Value Chain Development and VSLA.
•·Three or more years experience in
market led agriculture, agri-business, value chain development project or
marketing.
•· Demonstrated experience in research
design and implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation of market development
projects.
•  Preferred – Knowledge of VSLA
• Report writing experience.
• Fluency in Kinyarwanda & English.
• Strong experience in networking,
community mobilization and facilitation.
•  Commitment to implementing WV’s
vision and mission at all levels and in all aspects of the project.
•  Relevant teamwork experience
and good interpersonal skills.
• Mature Christian, able to stand above
denominational diversities.
Working Environment / Conditions:
•Work environment:  Mainly
field-based work
•Travel: Several domestic travels can
be required.
•Work station: Mainly at Central Zone
Office, but Any Program office of the World Vision Rwanda
•Authorities are to be decided after
project commences.
