Town, South Africa in 2003; since 2011, AIMS has opened additional centres in
Senegal, Ghana, Cameroon and Tanzania. The goal of the AIMS Next Einstein
Initiative (AIMS-NEI) is to build a pan-African network of 15 centres of
excellence across the continent by 2023.
Each
AIMS centre provides an intensive and broad education to over 50 African
students each year and prepares them for leadership careers in academia,
governance and industry. The AIMS educational program relies on top
international lecturers who teach in a 24-hour learning environment. The 6th
Centre of Excellence – AIMS Rwanda – is slated to open August 2016.

In
this role, you will spearhead the Finance function, giving managerial oversight
for all financial aspects of the AIMS network, within the environment of a
premiere international educational institution that conducts teaching, research
and outreach of mathematical sciences in Africa. Reporting to the Global Chief
Operating Officer and as a member of the senior leadership team, you will
contribute to the planning and delivery of the networks goals and objectives;
oversee the day-to-day delivery of accounting and financial services and gives
guidance and direction to a team of accounting professionals network wide.

international taxation accounting principles and regulatory requirements. You
have the savvy to practically combine and implement internal finance related
policies and practices that achieve operational efficiencies while managing
organizational risk.
