the agricultural / food processing sector based in Kigali with aspirations to
expand operations both nationally and regionally.

The
successful FD will ideally have a background in agribusiness / food processing
and have exposure to the Sub-Saharan Africa market.

Reporting
to the Group CFO, the key responsibilities of the FD are:

- Work
closely with the CEO and other board directors on formulating operational
budgets and long term growth strategies - Providing
timely, accurate and insightful management reports, prepared under IFRS. - Responsible
for cash flow management and managing relationships with local banks on
trade and asset finance to ensure funds are available timely to meet
growth projections. - Reforecasting
and communicating quarterly targets, highlighting capacity and financial
constraints. - Supporting
product pricing and B2B contracting terms to ensure the company meets
shareholders ROI criteria and optimal use of financial resources - Providing
leadership to a small team of financial staff - Managing
relationship with RRA and external auditors
The
ideal FD will have the following experience and skills:

- Degree
educated Chartered Accountant or ACCA - East
Africa experience is essential - Commercially
astute and able to demonstrate continuous career progression. - At
least 5 years’ experience, at a senior finance level, in a strategic
financial management function within an industry such as agribusiness,
manufacturing, food or FMCG - Monitoring
operational and capital expenditure budgets and providing insightful
reports and analysis to the Board of Directors. - Exposure
to growth situations and establishing expandable processes and procedures
and access finance is desirable. - Experience
of working in a private equity funded organization, preferably with international
operations is advantageous.
