POSITION:
Human
Resources officer
ITM
Africa Ltd is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human
Resources officer
to work in its office in Kigali.
ROLE
Under
the coordination of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources officer
will assist in the daily management of human resources, labor hire, recruitment
and coordination of training courses.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcomes
    new employees, organize induction and collect required employment
    documents.
  • Liaise
    with Direct Supervisors to collate information necessary for the
    preparation of the staff monthly payroll by collecting time and attendance
    records.
  • Submits
    employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
  • Maintains
    employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change
    data and share as required.
  • Support
    recruitment processes by filtering Job Applications, setting and
    organizing interviews appointments, sending out regret letters, building a
    strong CV banking database, conducting interviews, administering and
    scoring tests.
  • Maintains
    updated information on job applicants and report on evolution of
    candidates’ files
  • Participating
    in recruitment campaigns and CV collections from Universities, headhunting
    and building a strong HR network
  • Provides
    secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information;
    organizing work; maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Organize
    training sessions by checking compliance with the Training Checklist
  • Monitor
    closely staff leave status, ensuring regular updating of the leave
    database and status report sent out to line managers, track leave in
    coordination with line managers and advice accordingly.
  • Liaise
    with the HR Manager to ensure timely renewal of staff employment contracts
    records
  • Prepare
    standard letters for staff which include RSSB and bank account opening
QUALIFICATIONS
AND EXPERIENCE
  • University
    degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration,
    Social Sciences, or other related academic discipline.
  • At
    least two year’s relevant experience in HR within a busy organisation
  • Knowledge
    and understanding of Rwandan Labour Law
  • Good
    oral and written communication skills
  • Good 
    computer skills particularly spread sheets and word processing
  • Understanding
    of HR and recruitment software,
  • Strong
    analytical skill
  • Capable
    of conducting interviews for all positions from entry level to executive
    level.
  • Fluency
    in English and good knowledge of French;
  • Good
    sense of organization
