Abstract
This
project involved the studied, consequences associated with the wearer of
bifocal lens in Ughelli Urban. In doing this, the descriptive study was
adopted. To guide the study three research questions were formulated, the
population of the study is about 80 persons out of which the convenient
sampling technique was used to a sample of 50 respondents. The sampling
technique was applied was applied in the researcher visited all the optical
clinics and after the consultation with the management of the clinics and
sample all the bifocal lens wearers that visited the clinic everyday for six
days in a total of 50 respondents. The major research instrument use for data
collection was structured questionnaire. The research instrument was analysed
in simple percentage tables. The result of the findings indicates that the
wearers preferred and commonly use bifocal lens, because it has two distances
view, which is far and near and also wearers has no problems because of the
accurate fitting of the bifocal lenses by professionals. The researcher
therefore recommends that, professional should be undergo continuous training
through seminars and workshop, also for wearers of bifocal lens should report
any problem to the professional when they observed any. And professionals should
create awareness of bifocal lenses especially for reading purpose.
