Analysis of research question I
Are secondary students in
Nsukwu community aware of the concept of drug abuse?
Questions 1, 2 and 3 in the questionnaire are set of
related questions used for the treatment of research question I as shown in the
table 4.2 below.

Table 4.2 above shows that
80% of the respondents agreed that
secondary school students in Nsukwa community
engage in drug abuse
while 20% disagreed, 90% of the respondents agreed
that
there are secondary school students in Nsukwa community who over depend
on a particular substance or drug
while 10% disagreed. Also, 90% of the
respondents agreed that
secondary school students engage in
self-medication
while 10% of the respondents disagreed.
Based on the above analysis, it can be concluded that secondary students in Nsukwu community are aware of
the concept of drug abuse
.
Analysis of research question II
Are there causes of drug
abuse among secondary school students in Nsukwa community?
Questions 4, 5 and 6 in the questionnaire are set of
related questions used for the treatment of research question II as shown in
the table 4.3 below.

Table 4.3 reveals that 80%
of the respondents agreed that depression lead to drug abuse among secondary
school students while 20% disagreed, 85% of the respondents agreed that there
are secondary school students with history of trauma likely to experiment drug
abuse while 15% disagreed. Also, 60% of the respondents agreed that inability
to cope with stress is a contributory factor to drug abuse among secondary
school students while 40% disagreed.
Based on the above analysis, it can be concluded that
there are
causes of drug abuse among
secondary school students in Nsukwa community.
Analysis of research question III
Are there effects of drug
abuse among secondary school students in Nsukwa community?
Questions 7, 8 and 9 in the research questionnaires
are set of questions for the treatment of research question III as shown in the
table 4.4 below.

Table 4.4 above shows that
93% of the respondents agreed that drug abuse among secondary school students
can lead to injury, disability and death while 7% disagreed. 84% of the
respondents agreed that secondary school students who engage in drug abuse
suffer from weaken immune system while 16% disagreed. Also, 70% of the
respondents agreed that drug abuse have effects on the brains of secondary
school students while 30% disagreed.
Based on the analysis above, it can be concluded that
there are
effects of drug abuse among
secondary school students in Nsukwa community.
Analysis of research question IV
Are there measures to
minimize drug abuse among secondary school students in Nsukwa community?
Questions 10, 11 and 12 in the questionnaire are set
of related questions used for the treatment of research question IV as shown in
table 4.5 below.

From table 4.5 above, 70%
of the respondents agreed that improvement in parent-child communication can
minimize drug abuse among secondary school children while 30% disagreed, 85%
agreed that national anti-drug media campaign can help to reduce drug abuse
among secondary school students while 15% disagreed, also 91% of the
respondents agreed that safe and
drug-free schools and communities can help in combating drug abuse among
secondary students
while 9% of the respondents disagreed.
Based on the analysis above, it can be concluded that
there are
measures to minimize drug
abuse among secondary school students in Nsukwa community.
