Parasitic contamination on different vegetables examined

Parasitic contamination on different vegetables examined from all the
markets are given in table 3. The highest contamination was detected in  Solanum lycopersium (Tomatoes) 4(80%),
followed by corchorus olitorus (Waterleaf) 3(60%), Vermica amydalina
(Bitterleaf) 2(40%), Abelmoschus esculents (Okra) 2(40%) and the lowest was
detected in Tefferia spp (Pumpkin) 1(20%).

The contamination with eggs of the parasitic identified were Direcolium,
Diphybolacum nana, Vampirolepsis nana, Schistosome egg, Taenia eggs. Also,
larvae of strongyloides was identified in table 1. Bitterleaf were found
infected with eggs of H. Nana and Taenia species. Tomatoes were detected
contaminated with Diphylolatum nana, Schistosome eggs and eggs of Taenia. Okra
were found detected with larvae of Strongyloides. Waterleaf were found
contaminated with eggs of Taenia and Direcolium eggs. Additionally, cyst of
Vampirolepsis nana was detected in Pumkin leaf (Table 1).
