Job description:
Samaritan’s Purse International Relief Health Sector is seeking to hire Community Health Supervisors for Lofa County. S/He will be responsible to work closely with County Health Team in the area of assignment and the health facility staff. S/He will also link community members to the health facility to utilize available health service and improve maternal and child health.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate CHDC meeting in each health facility catchment area and training in MOHSW areas of priority for intervention;
• Train & supervise CHDC on supporting and motivating community health volunteers in their catchment areas;
• Train community health committee to link the community and the facility in catchment area and create awareness and promote health messages;
• Train community health volunteers (gCHVs & TTMs) in collaboration with MOHSW in the county using MOHSW training guidelines;
• Mobilize and empower the community to be involved and take initiatives in health related matters;
• Supervise CHVs service and provide supportive supervision on regular basis;
• Plan and facilitate monthly CHVs meeting;
• Report monthly and quarterly to health coordinator on activities regularly and clearly.
Job Requirement:
Qualifications
• High school graduate plus diploma in health training RN, PA, CM;
• At least two years of experience in community health services;
• Willing to live within target communities – humble and willing to travel within Lofa County;
• Excellent training and facilitation skills required;
• Motor bike riding mandatory;
• Able to communicate in English both written and spoken. Ability to speak local language is an advantage;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is able to represent Samaritan’s Purse in a manner which is highly professional;
