Health is seeking a dynamic, experienced M&E manager to oversee the
team at the heart of our flagship program in Liberia. In August 2012, TH
launched a new pilot project to provide lifesaving care to remote, rural
communities. We partnered with a small rural clinic and began training a cohort
of frontline health workers (FHWs), with the goal of designing an integrated,
scalable model for providing community-based care for the top-ten killers of
women and children in remote communities where thousands live as much as a
day’s walk from the nearest health facility. With support from private donors
and the Ministry of Health, Tiyatien Health plans to deploy this model in the
service of up to 150,000 rural patients by 2016.
Health is seeking a dynamic, experienced M&E manager to oversee the

The
M&E Manager will be responsible for all monitoring and evaluation
activities supporting Tiyatien Health’s Last Mile program as the program expands
in Konobo and other health districts over the course of 2014. This includes
supervising and coaching the Last Mile M&E Team, overseeing the
maintenance and refinement of all M&E tools and systems, and serving as
a ‘point person’ in organization-wide M&E discussions. Reporting to the
Last Mile Program Director, this position will be critical to building an
M&E apparatus that provides a publishable assessment of our impact in
Konobo, gives program staff a reliable source of information to guide program
revisions, and builds a scalable model for the expansion of our work. Based out
of the program site in the Konobo District of Liberia’s southeastern Grand
Gedeh County initially, as Tiyatien Health expands into multiple program sites,
the M&E Manager will be responsible for the cross-site management

Qualifications:
- Excellent data management and
database-building skills in Microsoft Access and/or an open-source
database platform - Ability to analyze a complex set of data, draw
insights, and present them clearly to enable programmatic improvement - Excellent writing and communication skills
- Prior experience in a remote setting and
willingness to travel to various program sites as needed - High level of initiative to innovate and lead
in remote and resource-limited settings - Commitment to health and social justice
- Flexibility and ability to handle multiple
tasks at one time in time-sensitive manner - Generosity of spirit, sensitivity/diplomacy,
and willingness to make sacrifices in service of the mission - Comfort working with a casual but
