Project Engineer
(Kota Kinabalu)
Responsibilities:
• Responsible to assist the Company to plan, organize and lead all assigned property development activities. This will include, but is not limited, development planning, development approvals, licensing by local authorities and post development activities while ensuring strict cost monitoring & control to guarantee budget conformation.
• Ensuring that all assigned project development activities under your charge are performed in the coaching to further optimize performance.
• Responsible to assist in development planning matters. This would include but not limited to, appointment of consultants, concept study, marketing feasibility study and preliminary drawings.
• Responsible to assist in matters relating to development approvals. This would include but not limited to, all drawings, document approvals and miscellaneous related issues throughout the project cycle.
• To assist in matters relating to licensing by local authorities. To assist in matters relating to post development activities. This would include but not limited to, OC approval matters, land matters and the handing over of common facilities to MC or local authorities.
• To liaise with consultants and relevant parties to ensure that timely and correct drawings are submitted in accordance to planned schedule.
• To check, verify and ensure that all drawings are in accordance to the approved plan before forwarding the said drawings for BOD’s endorsement.
• Accountable to thoroughly check drawing dimensions and related to ensure accuracy and in accordance to plan. To distribute timely and correctly approved drawing to main contractor.
• Accountable for the full spectrum of project and site related matters. This will include but is not limited, to core areas such as manpower assignment, quality and productivity management, checking of sub-contractor claims, site safety and health issues, welfare or site progress vs. construction schedule, timely and accurate site reports and any related site initiatives.
• Ensures that all site activities are performed in the most effectively and efficient manner, set a targets for the team members and provide the necessary coaching to further optimize performance.
Requirements:
• Minimum 8 years experience in construction, property development and / or Site Engineer / QS.
• Construction /Project / Site Engineers are most welcome to apply.
• Possess a Degree in Civil / Structural, Construction Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Construction IT software exposure, a prerequisite.
• Pleasant with strong interpersonal skills and ability to plan, organize and coordinate to exceed company standards.
• Exposure to infrastructure works, building construction, engineering and development coordination is an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate with contractors, relevant authorities and consultants effectively.
