Full-time Supervisor Job Vacancy in Ontario Santa Maria Foods Canada

We are looking to fill a full-time position for Supervisor.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Floor Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the
Department.

Responsibilities:
* Take initiative and exercise timely and good judgement in day-to-day business decisions.
* Providing direct supervision to associates in your department
* Ensure overall compliance and adherence to Health and Safety policies
* Maintain positive union and associate relations
* Continuous improvement on manufacturing processes and efficiencies
* Ensure effective communication with all other departments
* Provides training and development for the department
* Maximizes department efficiency and minimizes plant waste levels while maintaining and improving product quality standards
* Responsible for meeting & reporting on daily production targets
* Other duties as required

Qualifications:
o 3 to 5 years supervisory/lead hand experience
o Ability to work day or afternoon shifts
o Working knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
o Familiarity working in a unionized environment
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Experience in food manufacturing an asset
o Understanding of HACCP
o Post secondary education in Business Management / Food Science an asset
o Knowledge and compliance of CFIA regulations
o Lean Manufacturing experience
