ICYE UK is recruiting volunteers to volunteer on health projects in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. This is the
perfect opportunity for someone who would like to learn about the health or international development sectors, become immersed in another culture, live with a host family and learn a new language.
About ICYE UK
ICYE UK is an ethical International Volunteer organisation which sends volunteers throughout Latin America, Africa and Asia, and also hosts volunteers from those continents here in the UK. ICYE UK is a member of the International ICYE Federation, a worldwide federation of independent local organisations with over 60 years of inter-cultural experience and a head office based in Berlin. ICYE International volunteers are essential to support the local organisations so placements are varied and require dedicated and responsible volunteers.
Health Projects
Projects are varied and include those which support people with HIV and AIDS. Watch the video below to see our volunteers at work at KIFAD, an ICYE placement in Uganda focussing on HIV and AIDS.

ICYE is able to match volunteers to projects based on their project preferences, skills and interests. A full list of placements is available on request. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to volunteer for between 3 – 16 weeks and the timing of your placement can be arranged to suit your availability. Get in touch today to discuss the projects which might suit you!
ICYE UK provides volunteers with full support from the UK and the local ICYE office throughout your stay, as well as fundraising support towards the programme fee and the opportunity to apply for our bursaries. We offer an all-inclusive programme fee.
The next deadline for the £750 bursary is June 1st 2012 although we recommend applying sooner to secure a placement.
To talk about projects which might suit you, please contact the ICYE UK office today on short-term@icye.org.uk. You can also book a place for the next free ICYE UK Information day on April 28th or May 26th (12-4pm) at our office in Kilburn, North London.
