food, healthcare, shelter, and a loving family environment so that they can
break out of the cycle of poverty and live happy, productive lives. We believe

help2kids operates several diverse projects in Lifuwu, a small village in
Malawi and in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s largest city. In Malawi, we support a
government primary school, a nursery and day care program, and a medical
center. In Tanzania, we run a children’s home and a primary school, support a
nursery school, and teach English classes for adults. At all of our projects,
volunteers and staff work together to create an environment that will allow
children to thrive.
We are currently seeking a full-time Health Project Assistant Coordinator to
help us manage our new Health Project in Tanzania. This is a great position for

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Work in conjunction with Health Coordinator to implement effective Health
Project handling the needs of our primary school, children’s home, and several
local orphanages in Dar es Salaam
• Creating and keeping organized filing system to keep track of clients and
stakeholders
• Facilitate Hosting of health workshops for children, teachers, and caregivers
within the community
• Visits to our partner projects
• Accounting for project expenses
• Other administrative and project-related tasks, as requested
• Writing reports, as requested
• Reporting to Health Coordinator and Field Manager

Beneficial Knowledge and
Characteristics:
• Strong knowledge of public health promotion
• Experience leading workshops
• Passion for working with children and youth
• Ability to work with limited resources in a sometimes challenging environment
• Flexibility and willingness to chip in where needed
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision and be self-motivated
• Ability to work well with a team of Tanzanian staff, foreign staff and
international volunteers
• Driving ability preferred

Required
• BA Development, Health or other relevant background
• Computer proficiency
• Understanding of the basics of managing budgets and accounting
• Fluency in English

Salary
• Modest Stipend

• Shared room in company housing

• Most meals included (5 dinners
a week, breakfast every day, lunch available on-site)

• Shared use of company car
