We are seeking to
appoint a Research Assistant with experience supervising the development and
implementation of rigorous studies in low and middle-income country (LMIC)
settings in the field of water, sanitation and hygiene, with a particular focus
on behavioural science and implementation issues.
The successful
applicant will have a MSc in public health, international development, or
related, considerable experience of w
orking in WASH and public health in
low-income settings, excellent computational skills using statistical packages
such as Stata, SPSS, excellent skills in writing study results and findings in
reports and papers suitable for publication in peer-reviewed journals,
excellent command of written and spoken Swahili, eligibility and willingness to
work in Tanzania.
This part-time post
(60%), based in Tanzania, is funded by the Department for International
Development for a period of 12 months initially. The appointment will be made
on LSHTM’s Academic Pathway Grade 5 scale in the range £33,006 to £37,889.
