are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following posts:
Senior
Research Fellow
a)   
Duties and responsibilities
  1. To publish a
    minimum of two articles a year
  2. To participate
    in writing of at least one policy brief annually in the area of
    specialisation
  3. To participate
    in planning a MISR workshop and book publication annually
  4. To participate
    in initiating and writing MISR core research core research projects as
    outlined in the strategic plan
  5. To take up
    teaching in not less than two (2) MISR graduate courses annually
  6. To attend at
    least one international and two national conferences annually
  7. To prepare and
    submit an annual activity plan
  8. To participate
    in policy and decision making in at least two (2) Committees
  9. To participate
    in workshops run by the Institute
  10. To perform any
    other related duties as may be assigned by the Director
d)
Tenure of appointment: Five years renewable contract depending on
satisfactory performance following appraisal
  
Requirement:
a)   
Minimum qualifications and other requirements
  1. A PhD
  2. A minimum of
    four (4) years of proven experience in research
  3. A minimum of
    five (5) new publications in referred journals
  4. Intellectual
    contribution in the area of specialization
b)  
Area of Specialization
Candidates
must fall within any of the following areas of specialisation
  1. Political
    Studies
  2. Political
    Economy
  3. Historical
    Narratives
  4. Cultural
    Studies (Including Anthropology and Literature)
