FINANCIAL ASSISTANT
JOB PROFILE
#Maintain the ledgers and accounting records of the
company
#Assist in the preparation, maintenance and reporting
of monthly accounts and annual financial statements
#Support in the preparation and control of annual
budgets and annual reports
#Coordinate office services, such as personnel and
special ad-hac management reports
#Liaise with auditors, bankers, lawyers, suppliers
and regulatory bodies
#Conduct tax computations
#Prepare reports including conclusions and
recommendations to solutions of finance and administrative problems
#Review and answer accounting correspondence
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
#A degree in Accounting and Finance, further
supplemented with an Internationally recognized Professional Accounting
qualification
#A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
preferably in a financial institution, experience with a Botswana IFSC company
and reporting to NBFIRA would be an advantage
#Comprehensive understanding of the IFRS
#Advanced level of Microsoft Excel, Word and
internet skills. Experience of Pastel software will also be an advantage
#An excellent command of English and good written
communication skills
#The flexibility to work in a multi-cultural
environment and be motivated by being exposed to working internationally as
part of a dynamic team
#Strong attention to detail, be good with numbers
and be a fast learner
