It is a place where community groups, families and individuals can learn about organic gardening, while growing their own food and socializing with fellow community members. In existence since 2003, this grass roots initiative has evolved into an organization that is an important local provider of food, education and fun.

• In collaboration with the garden steering committee, coordinate more formal workshops about garden topics, inviting guest speakers to offer a workshop on topics of interest to gardeners and community members.
• Organize special garden events and fundraisers, including: Summer Solstice Celebration; BBQ at Struts during Ok Quoi?!; music show to be hosted at the community garden during SappyFest.

4) Administrative Tasks:

This will include following our budget, collecting plot rental fees and developing/establishing an inventory of items required by the garden to facilitate a “Friends of the Community Garden” donation strategy.
