We Canada Executive Assistant Job Vacancy in Ottawa, Ontario

This volunteer internship with We Canada will be six months in length, from
January to June 2012.


Duties


• Manage all administrative support tasks for the National Director and act as
secretary during meetings when needed;
• Act as representative of the National Director for various requests for
information from both internal and external sources;
• Collaborate with the policy, youth, engagement and communications directors;
• Coordinate in-person and online meetings of the National Director and the We
Canada team;
• Coordinate travel logistics for the National Director and the delegations to
the United Nations meetings (accommodations, accreditation, transportation,
etc.);
• Coordinate the translation and revision of documents (brand, website, partner
information kits, news, etc.);
• Coordinate interviews with potential volunteers;
• Draft and revise official documents for various We Canada stakeholders at the
local, regional, and international levels (various levels of government,
business networks, non-governmental organizations, universities, etc.);
• Offer support as needed to the We Canada Champions.

Candidate profile

• Completed or ongoing diploma in administrative or secretarial studies,
environmental science, international studies, communications, or a related
field is an asset;
• Mastery of administrative software;
• Leadership, independent work skills, a sense of initiative, discretion, team
spirit, ability to work under pressure, ability to accept and adapt quickly to
change;
• Excellent time management skills and respect of deadlines;
• Independent work skills and strong work ethic;
• Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and French a
strong asset;
• Ability to prioritize work and honour commitments.
