About ROSES OF SHARON
ROSES OF SHARON is a small, well-established Landscape Design and
Maintenance Firm. We care for both residential and public spaces,
including Heritage Trust Properties. NO pesticides are used in the
gardens we maintain. Planting is done with organic material such as
compost, or other natura
l root stimulators. Where feasible, and
desired, native species are installed. We have several gardens where
species such as the Native Milkweed are allowed to self-seed along
with other pollinator-friendly plants.
Work Includes:
Garden Cleanups, Seasonal Pruning, Planting, Garden Maintenance.
Weather permitting, work begins early April, and continues through
till end of November. We work 4 days a week, typically Monday through
Thursday, with some weather-related adjustments.
Qualifications/Experience:
Horticultural/Arboriculture Training an asset. Experience necessary,
extra training and learning continues on the job. Candidate must be
physically strong and meticulous. We work closely together, and
interact with clients and the public – good sense of humour and
communication skills very important. Drivers License and own vehicle
helpful; there is one company truck.
