Free
The Children
seeks a detail orientated and organized Specialist, Development Projects
to directly support a major fundraising campaign. Working as part of the
Executive Office, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to
directly contribute to the organization’s growth and fulfilment of its mission
by providing event planning and administrative support to the core campaign
team. This opportunity suits individuals who are highly-motivated, thrive in
high energy work environments and have exceptional organizational skills.
The Children

The
position is based out of Free The Children’s office in Toronto (233 Carlton
Street). A minimum 18-month commitment is expected. There is a three (3) month
probationary period, upon reaching the three (3) month period, all staff
members are offered a health plan including dental and Employee Assistant
Program.

Responsibilities:
- Creating
and maintaining database of prospects and opportunities, as well as
tracking and reporting campaign updates - Manage
printing of campaign collateral, while ensuring creative teams have assets
required to build documents - Providing
support in writing proposals, updates and reports for internal and
external stakeholders - Work
proactively to consistently anticipate required materials for the greater
campaign team - Foster
strong internal and external relationships to effectively coordinate
meetings and events in a timely manner - Maintain
the highest level of accountability, disclosure, and regularly exercise a
high degree of discretion - Provide
administrative support on a variety of tasks both off-site and in the
office, with respect to upcoming events and meetings related to the
campaign. - Undertake
a variety of additional tasks and projects as requested by the campaign
leadership team
Skills
and Qualifications:

- University
or College graduate - Minimum
2-3 years relevant experience in a high-volume project management or event
planning capacity - Excellent
judgment, problem solving skills with great attention to detail - Professional
interest in project management as a rewarding career path - Organized,
proactive with a strong ability to multitask - Demonstrated
strong project coordination skills - Excellent
understanding of Microsoft Office Suites including PowerPoint - Familiar
and comfortable with being accessible beyond regular business hours - Familiar
and comfortable with a high volume, high energy work environment that
spans beyond a 9-5 work commitment - Positive,
energetic, enthusiastic with a strong work ethic - Excellent
relationship building skills, including the ability to work
collaboratively in a team environment
