through its office in Lilongwe, The project’s purpose is to improve the
availability to and access to essential medicines and medical supplies through
designing, strengthening and operati

ng effective, reliable and sustainable
supply chains – in collaboration with local partners, The project also provides
procurement services for malaria and family planning commodities, In Malawi,
the project collaborates closely with the Ministry of Health, the US Agency for
International Development (USAID) and other partners in pursuit of these
objectives, Will report to the Country Director, and work closely with the
DELIVER office staff members and other partners in the country

Responsible for providing
assistance to Logistics Advisors in planning and implementation of all
activities related to the LMIS for health commodities within the mandate of the
USAID/DELIVER Project, Participation in the development of technical strategies
and workplans and provision of in-country technical assistance in supply chain
management especially LMIS and LMIS performance monitoring
Provide technological
solutions and utilize LMIS to support medicine quantification, supply planning
and monitoring, stock status monitoring and distribution at district and
program level, Analyse supply chain data and assist in the design and
processing of district performance reports using LMIS data, review existing
report formats and propose improvements in presentation using modern
indicator-based dash-boards where possible, Provide technological solutions and
utilize LMIS to support medicine quantification, supply planning and
monitoring, stock status monitoring and distribution at district and program
level, Analyse supply chain data and assists in the design and processing of
district performance reports using LMIS data, review existing report formats
and propose improvements in presentation using modern indicator-based
dash-boards where possible, Collaborate with the HTSS LMIS team to review the
existing ICT infrastructure and the district software application in use and
support the required improvements to ensure data security and access whilst
identifying and building capacity of district counterparts, Train district
counterparts in database management paying special attention to computer skills
and developing additional LMIS skills including data utilization, Assist in
data collection for logistics surveys conducted by Ministry of Health (MoH),
Assist MoH in the m
aintenance of a data base of facilities involved in
the delivery of the essential health package, Perform other duties as may be
assigned from time to time by USAID/DELIVER
Will be a degree holder
in Statistics, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management or related discipline,
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in MIS processes is a requirement,
Minimum of 3 yrs experience including management of information preferably in
work funded by USAID, High proficiency with MS Access, SQL and data base
management, Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications,
competency in statistical analysis, Proficiency in network and server
management including MS Exchange will be a plus, Excellent written and oral
communication skills, A proven ability to work as part of a team but
self-managing of own time and strong analytical and problem solving skills
