- Ensure
that all the aspects of managing the farm are being met. - Making
sure that all farm team members are safe at work and helping to create a
good working environment. - Creating
a system of managing and motivating the farm team members. - Ensuring
welfare of all the livestock entrusted to you, including but not limited
to: proper feeding, timely vaccination, temperature control, and
ventilation. - Identify
gaps in the farm’s management practices with a goal of keeping farm at
peak performance. - Be
responsible for the work flow and processes relating to all farm operations
in order to be of assistance to the Manager as needed, as well as the rest
of the management team as needed. - Be
a problem solver and also update the manager and other leaders on any
emergencies or situations requiring urgent action. - Be
self-motivated in creating a weekly and monthly personal program of tasks
which are reviewed regularly by the Manager. - Effectively
adopt and take on new miscellaneous assignments, as assigned by the
manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Minimum Secondary
school degree, preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of Animal
Nutrition, Animal Production or related field.

Experience:

years’ experience in poultry/livestock husbandry

Skills:
