Tukur Jekada, a lawmaker at the Zamfara House of Assembly who represents Bakura Constituency, is dead.
Shamsudeen Hassan, the Chairman of the House Information Committee, announced this while talking in Gusau on Sunday.
Mr Hassan said the lawmaker passed away on Sunday after a brief illness.
Before his death, Mr Jekada was the Chair of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
