YARA Tanzania Ltd Project Controller Job Vacancy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Summary:

• YARA Tanzania Ltd, a major supplier of fertilizer in Tanzania and the sole supplier of ChapaMeli fertilizers, is expanding its activities by constructing a fertilizer terminal in Dar es Salaam and is looking for a Project Controller who will report to the Project Manager.
• Enter and maintain project budgets/estimates into SUN system.
• Update and evaluate the accuracy of the project forecast by assessing actual cost incurred and physical progress achieved for all phases of project.
• Assists project manager in presentations/reports to the company management.
• Consolidate data in the schedule and in project cost reports for project manager’s review and approval.
• Prepare and update, on a regular basis, project cash flow forecasts.
• Support Project Manager in contingency and change order management.
• Invoice verification per contractual payment schedule
• Preparation of regular reports including analysis of potential problems
• Ensuring timely reporting according to company policy and manager’s requirements
• Giving advice to project manager
• Acting as an interface between the project finance and finance department of YARA Tanzania Ltd
• Any other duties as provided by Project management.

 Requirements:

• Holder of a SA or Masters in Finance, Commerce or Business Administration
• Professional accounting qualification such as a CPA, ACA or ACCA
• A minimum of 2 – 5 years experience in accounting and finance (International experience is an advantage). Experience in engineering and project management will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to use IT tools efficiently especially MS Excel.
• A dynamic, proactive and self motivated candidate
