The Historic New Orleans Collection is funding
research fellowship at Historic New Orleans Collection in USA. This
International fellowship is open to doctoral candidates, academic and museum
professionals and independent scholars for scholarly research program on the
history and culture of Louisiana and the Gulf South. Fluency in English is
required. The fellowship carries a stipend of $4,000 per month for a maximum of
three months. Application deadline is November 1, 2013.

Scholarship Description: The Historic New Orleans Collection is now accepting applications for
the 2014/15 Woest Fellowship. The fellowship supports scholarly research on the
history and culture of Louisiana and the Gulf South. While THNOC resources
should play a central role in the proposed research agenda, fellows are also
encouraged to explore other research facilities in the Greater New Orleans
area.
Duration of award(s): The duration of fellowship is of three months. Maximum of three months
All research must commence and conclude during the specified fellowship term
(April 1, 2014–March 31, 2015).
What does it cover? The fellowship carries a stipend of $4,000 per month for a maximum of
three months. Fellows may select their period(s) of residence.
Notification: Recipients
will be announced February 1, 2014.
