Nurse Manager – Wesley Care Tewantin
Wesley Mission Brisbane Disability Residential
Service Tewantin offers supported accommodation for 6 young people with High
and Complex needs who would be otherwise residing within, or at imminent risk
of entering an aged care facility.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an
experienced Nurse Manager at Wesley Care Tewantin.  The successful
applicant will be responsible for the development, implementation, management
and oversight of Wesley Mission Brisbane Disability Residential Service
Tewantin.
The Nurse Manager will be req

uired to provide a
high level of nursing care, including clinical practice and administration of
medications.  They will oversee, monitor and supervise a team of Personal
Care Assistants, Therapy Assistant, Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator and Cook
/ Chef. They will also broker / liaise with Allied Health, Medical
Practitioners and other services as required.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Ensure that the needs and requirements of
    residents are met in accordance with the Disability Service Standards and
    all other related legislation and compliance regulations.
  2. Ensure all care to residents is developed in
    partnership with them, their families and significant others, which
    provides for their holistic well-being.
  3. Provide direct care to residents including
    care assessments, reviews and formulation of care plans.
  4. To prepare the budget and service plans on an
    annual basis for Wesley Mission Brisbane Disability Residential Service
    Tewantin, and manage the material and financial resources of that budget,
    including the provision of monthly reports to the Manager Youngcare
    Apartments
  5. Liaise with government departments in relation
    to securing funding, as well as ensuring all acquittal/compliance issues
    are addressed for areas under responsibility.
  6. Assist in research relevant to clinical
    matters.
  7. Manage all staff within the service and
    undertake recruitment, orientation, training, performance review &
    management duties.
  8. Contribute to continuous quality improvement
    processes to ensure a high standard of practice and service delivery.
