WaterAid was established in Rwanda in 2010 to contribute to the GoR’s development agenda by increasing the provision of sustainable water, sanitation services and hygiene education resulting in improved health. WaterAid is looking for suitable candidates to fill the position of Office Assistant/Driver based in Kigali.
Overall position description: The Office assistant/driver role will provide office assistantship, administrative and logistical support to the country office to deliver on programme work, driving WaterAid staff, visitors and/ or contractors on official field trips – ensuring vehicles are in good conditions and transport sharing possible. The post holder will be based at WaterAid Office in Kigali but will be expected to spend a lot of time in the field. The post holder is required to exhibit prudence in handling and use of both project and programme vehicles and materials, and use his/her sense of judgement in his/her work without constant supervision. S/he is also required to be honest at all times carrying out their activities.
The candidate should have a diploma in Administrative /Secretariat/Logistics or any other related fields with a clean Rwandan driving license (class B&D). Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics/repair skills and 2-3 years drive experience. You should have good computer skills; ability to communicate in both written and spoken English or French and Kinyarwanda; Experience of working with INGOs is desirable with demonstrated flexibility and ability to do any other tasks etc…
