KSI was founded in 2009 and is at the exciting stage of building an international group of schools founded on our Vision for Learners and our Mission. Our first school opened in Montenegro in September 2010 and we also participate in a joint venture with partners in Turkey to engage learners in established schools in our curriculum. With plans for new schools in other locations, we bring a fresh approach to the IB curriculum.

We have a small core team consisting of an Executive Director, Chief Academic Officer, VP Business Operations/CFO and Office Administrator. We are based from pleasant offices near Ladbroke Grove, London, UK.

Position Summary
This role is responsible for the successful setup of KSI schools worldwide and for providing ongoing operational support to existing schools and ventures. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will work collaboratively with the CAO and CFO/VP Business Development, as well as with the Heads of Schools. Given that KSI is a start-up organisation, many of the responsibilities will be personally fulfilled by the job holder as there is not currently a staff team to which to delegate.

Overall Responsibilities
• Project Manage the setup of new schools, contributing as an individual on operational issues
• Provide operational expertise to existing schools including project managing major operational changes and tactical support on operational issues
• Oversee the organisation’s IT systems
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures

Person Specification

Qualifications:
Likely to be degree-level educated
Qualification in a Project Management methodology preferred

Professional Experiences:
Operational experience within a school, is highly preferable
Experienced project manager in a small organisation requiring resourcefulness
Experience of setting up a new school from scratch, preferably to IB standards
Experience of managing a significant IT project or ongoing IT operations
Experience of establishing and managing contractual relationships with suppliers of both services and product

Personal Qualities, Skills and Competences
Proven project management skills, preferably including strong competence in a project management tool
Strong communicator, orally and in writing
Organised way of working
Strong problem solver
Excellent at networking and quickly building relationships
Able to multi-task
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to travel extensively.
