Housekeeper for Family (Live out)
Location: Mississauga (Port Credit), Ontario
Wanted! Great vegetarian cook with solid housekeeping skills and a
love of kids and animals to make our home life terrific!!! (This is
currently a live out position)
We are a family of four – Dad is a very busy sound engineer with long
hours, mom is starting a business and is in and out of the house and
the kids, boy who is 6 and girl who is 4, are funny and very spirited.
We have a friendly dog
who lives on our main floor, two older cats who
live mostly upstairs in the master bedroom and two fish. We are funny
and nice and busy!
We want someone who is friendly and happy to work with us at our home,
4 hours per day, each weekday afternoon from 3:30 or 4:00 until after
dinner. The job will entail whatever cleaning needs to be done that
day in the house (we’ll create a revolving schedule), cooking a
healthy vegetarian dinner (with a possible option of a meat side for
the husband!), doing the kitchen clean up and, sometimes, light duty
hanging out with the kids.
This is a pilot project – we have never had someone help out in our
home on a daily basis before. We are good people with progressive
politics and a high level of environmental awareness and we want
someone who fits well into our family!
You have: A positive attitude, strong vegetarian / healthy cooking
skills (really important), good housekeeping practices (all cleaners
are eco-friendly) and a love of young kids and animals. You have a
good command of the English language and are willing to be flexible
with what each day brings. We’d love you to have a driver’s license in
case we need you to do an occasional kid pick up.
The job: 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, with wage to be discussed and
rated to your skills (definitely exceeding minimum wage!)
Work Environment: A very happy family with a spacious house close to
the lake in the Port Credit neighbourhood of Mississauga. We are easy
to get along with, will ensure you are paid fairly and always on time
and we will respect your role in our home greatly!
