Basic Salary: From RFW 5,964,917 to 10,140,361 per
year

Work Hours: Full-time; 40 hours/week.
USAID/Rwanda is recruiting for the position of
Administrative Assistant.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The incumbent serves as the principal Clerical and
Administrative Support for the Office of Financial Management, the Personal
Assistant to the Controller, the Payroll Liaison and the Accounts Receivable
focal point. S/He carries out day-to-day administrative support activities
required by the office; s/he is the main time keeper for USAID/Rwanda’s
employees and is responsible for the Mission’s Accounts Receivable.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
NOTE: All applicants must address each selection
criteria detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting
each item.
Education (20Pts): Completion of secondary school,
some post-secondary school, technical training in secretarial or business
school including courses in typing, office practices, word processing is
required.
Prior Work Experience (30Pts): At least two years
of progressively responsible secretarial/administrative and clerical experience
is required. Experience working with an accounting entity is preferred.
Language Proficiency (10Pts): English Level III is
required.
Knowledge: (30Pts): Must have a good knowledge of
Secretarial duties and understanding of accounting principles and practices as
well as familiarization with payroll regulations and procedures.
Skills and Abilities (10pts): Must have
demonstrated clerical skills, level II typing ability (50 wpm). Proficiency in
operating word processing equipment and knowledge of spreadsheet software
required. Must have ability to learn USAID budget and financial management
procedures. Must be able to work under pressure and maintain pleasant demeanor.
Incumbent must be able to deal firmly and politely with the public.
Current employees serving a probationary period are
not eligible to apply.
