OF BOTSWANA – FACULTY OF MEDICINE: LECTURER (4 POSITIONS) – CITIZENS ONLY

The Faculty of
Medicine seeks to appoint Lect
urers in the following Departments;

1. Anaesthesia
   IRC 693
2. Family
   Medicine (Maun) IRC 694
3. Internal
   Medicine IRC 695
4. Obstetrics
   and Gynaecology IRC 696

Requirements

Duties: The successful candidate
will be expected to: (i) teach courses at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate
levels; (ii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the Department
including research and supervision of research projects/ dissertations; (iii)
carry out any other duties and responsibilities that will be assigned by the
Head of Department.

Requirements: i) have a Bachelor of
Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine (MBBS) or MD (ii) formal qualifi cation in the
specialist area (iii) show evidence of engagement in research (iv) University
Teaching Experience will be considered an added advantage (v) For candidates to
be considered for appointment they must undergo and pass a registration
examination with the Botswana Health Professions Council. (v) Candidates with
up to 5 years post-specialization experience will have to sit for a general
medicine written (MCQs) and oral exam in addition to an oral specialist
examination (vi) Candidates with more than 5 years post-specialization
experience will have to sit for an oral specialist examination only.
