About the role
The Business Operations function ensures that CD delivers an accurate short
term forecast for their specific category.
Through rigorous interrogation and analysis of
the plans generated by account teams, BOM generates a category level
forecast that takes into consideration cross customer and channel switching,
post promotional impacts, historical forecast bias, national / regional
advertising, innovation impacts, price elasticity and seasonality influences on
demand.

The key purpose of the position is to develop
and implement the correct reporting tools to assist in delivering the
function’s objective.

About you
* Develop and implement reporting tools to support the BOM team
* Maintenance and improvement of the tools / reports
* Generate insights from the data
* Interrogation of tactical short term forecast through cross functional teams
* Ownership for the total company level forecast
* Alignment that the forecast is accurate, aligned through sales and
operations, and drive the action for volume level adjustments through cross
functional teams
* Manage tracking/ reporting on performance against business targets and
forecast accuracy across key customer teams
* Support the BOM team on leading; owning and providing operational focus
within the internal business sales and operation process
* Maintaining an overview of category trading issues; manage the impact on
category performance and gap fill in the short term window with Category
Managers BB and CD.
* Ensuring trade spend is being used against the right activities to achieve
agreed deliverables
* Represent the BOM in forums where they can’t’ be present

Skills and Experience:
We see the successful applicant being degree educated with demonstrated
experience working within a business/ sales/ financial analyst type role.
Other desirable skills include:
* Advanced/ expert Microsoft Excel skills
* Solid Aztec and Nielsen experience
* Previous FMCG experience within business planning, sales operations functions
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with peers in
cross functional teams
* Experience presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders
* Business and Financial understanding
