An accountant
Reports to: Chief Finance Officer
Purpose of the job:
To be part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate Accounting function.
Key Result Areas:
• To receive and process all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment.
• Responsible for instituting and maintaining a proper system of Inventory Controls and Procedures
• Perform regular stock taking exercises at all stations.
• Verify calculations and input codes in to the Accounts system in an accurate manner.
• To maintain and reconcile the Direct Debit mandates.
• To deal with daily transactions for the petty cash and ensure that reconciliations are completed on a weekly basis.
• To ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensures cheque payment vouchers are stamped, paid and filed accordingly
Job requirement
Qualification and Experience:
• Bachelor of commerce or any other Business degree course from a reputable University
• Knowledge of Tally
• 3 years experience in the accounting department of a busy Organization/ Audit firm
Added Advantage
• ACCA or CPA
• Mathematics at A level
