Global Health offers African Graduate Scholarships in UK. The students of
African national and a permanent resident of an African nation can apply for
this scholarship. The scholarship covers tuition fee, initial expenses,
accommodation, food, public transport and other daily expenses, travel
expenses, MSc Project costs. Student must have applied first and obtained an
unconditional offer letter to study a full-time postgraduate programme at the
UCL Institute for Global Health for the coming academic year. Send your

Eligibility:

 -The candidate must be an African national and
a permanent resident of an African nation.
– The candidate must have applied first and obtained an unconditional offer
letter to study a full-time postgraduate programme at the UCL Institute for
Global Health for the coming academic year.
-(Please note: If you have deferred your studies at IGH for more than 2 years,
you may be required to make a new UCL application for your degree.
-Please consult the registry department at UCL regarding this matter.)
– The scheme offers scholarships towards UCL tuition fees and some cost of
living.
-The candidate must arrange for and obtain the additional funding required to
cover travel and other expenses.

:
The Scholarship exists to support African nationals with a high-quality
academic and professional background who wish to further develop their skills
and knowledge in their specific field in their home countries. The Scholarship
is a one-off award for the academic year September-September.

What does it
cover?
£16,250
:Tuition fee for overseas students in 2013-2014
AY £800 Initial expenses (warm clothes for winter, student supplies, etc)
£12,500 Accommodation, food, public transport and other daily expenses
Travel expenses* (You will need to calculate the cost of your travel to and
from the UK as well as the cost for the student visa)
MSc Project costs* (You will need to calculate the costs of your project if you
choose to conduct an MSc project overseas) £29,550*
TOTAL (*minus travel and project costs). The amount awarded will be dependent
on the individual candidate. Payment of the Scholarship is made in the form of
a deduction from tuition fees at the start of the academic session and by
cheques in regular intervals throughout the academic year to pay for food,
transport and daily expenses. Accommodation is also paid by the scholarship.

Notification:
The
committee aims to contact provisional successful candidates by email and post
within 4 weeks of the deadline.

How to Apply: The mode of applying is
electronically or by post. Candidates must submit their scholarship application
to the IGH scholarship committee by the deadline given in the application form.
