My client is a leading refurbishment and fitout contractor who deliver high end
commercial projects to blue chip clients across Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne
to the value of $70mil. Over the years this business has grown from strength to
strength and are a big believer in promoting from within. Due to a recent
restrucure and growth an opportunity for a Interiors Drafter has become
available.
The Role
Due to a recent restructure they are seeking a suitably qualified and
experienced candidate to become an integral member of their team, to work
within the Design / Drafting team. You will be responsible for providing specialized,
innovative and detailed documentation for interior fitout and refurbishments
for Blue chip clients.
Skills / Experience
To be successful for this position you must have a minimum of 5 years
experience in a similar position, with strong demonstrative skills in design
and drafting.
• Minimum 5 years with ArchiCAD
• Experience with Commercial interiors
• Quick learner & enjoy working in a fast paced office with procedures
& systems to learn.
• Willing to work in a Design & Construct based team with designers input
from inception of the project through to handover and working closely with our
Project team to deliver designs & projects.
• Must have good time management skills; works well in a team environment and
is willing to put the appropriate effort and time into each project and task.
• Is able to take a brief, check measure existing site and translate that onto
a working document for services consultants & trades.
• Personality needs to be bright and positive, self motivated, with a “can
do” attitude.
• Must be able to convert ArchiCAD files to DWG’s for services consultants and
trades.
• Create detailed documentation packages such as General Arrangement,
Partition, Furniture, RCP, Finishes plans along with construction & joinery
details for Tender, Construction & As built purposes.
• Must have knowledge of Adobe Creative programs such as InDesign, Photoshop
& Illustrator.
