Transport Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient transfers and
transports to and from other medical facilities, and tracking all vehicles
including the helicopter, fixed-wing and ground units. This position will
coordinate patient transfers with the appropriate individuals, dispatch the
appropriate vehicle when transport is requested and establishes and maintains
communication with those involved in the transfer.

Skills and Abilities Required:
The individual must have organization and
prioritization skills to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
This position proactively interacts with multiple disciplines to problem solve,
facilitate internal transports and physician consultations and must work
collaboratively. Excellent customer service skills and telephone skills,
interpersonal and communication skills and strong listening skills are crucial.
To be an expert in using a two way radios system, flight tracking systems,
coordinate based mapping skills in support of air medical and ground transport
assets. Must have knowledge base in data collection and/or triage.
License,
Registration or Certification Required:
Must obtain certified flight Communicator status within one year of hire
