TPO Monitoring and Documentation Officer Job Vacancy in Uganda

TPO Uganda is a local national NGO that has been operating in Uganda for over 17 years now. Our projects target the most vulnerable communities delivering the following critical interventions; Child Protection (Orphans and vulnerable children), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Eco systems, Food Security and Livelihood Support, Peaceful Co-existence, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support and HIV/AIDS Prevention. TPO is currently running projects in the districts of Isingingro, Bushenyi, Gulu, Kitgum, Nwoya,
Amuru, Lira, Pader, Katakwi, West Nile region and Karamoja and is looking to recruit for the following positions;

Job Title: Monitoring and Documentation Officer.
Duty Station: Kampala with frequent field travel.
Reporting to: Program Manager.

Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the job holder is to put in place systems and procedures through which strategic and operational information and data from all TPO projects will be captured and managed. Working closely with the Program Manager, s/he will provide support to projects to ensure that all projects are on course to attain their set goals and objectives. The documentation role of the position holder will include distilling and consolidating project information from field activities into periodic reports. S/he will also prepare excerpts on program activities for awareness raising and advocacy purposes and for use on the TPO Uganda website.

Requirement:
The ideal candidate must possess the following skills;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to decipher and interpret complex policy documents
• Interpret research reports and strategic plans into meaningful texts for specific audiences.
• Impeccable self-organization and work planning skills
• Familiarity with managing and interpreting project progress monitoring data.

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics/Demography/Population Studies or related field. Candidates with post graduate qualifications will have an added advantage. Candidates with professional qualifications in either project monitoring, evaluation, documentation and/or data management will stand an advantage.
