Job Title: Data Manager
Reporting to: Project Coordinator
Duty Station: Mbarara
Job summary: The Data Manager is responsible for managing all the project data and strategic information needs of the project. S/he will establish procedures, systems and processes for collecting and managing project related data in the TPO service districts. S/he will frequently consult with the Strategic Information and M&E Advisor to ensure that all project data collected feeds into the Project Monitoring Plan in an integrated manner. S/he will ensure that data and related information is collected, processed and reported on in a timely manner and will also participate in project related operational research.
Requirement:
■ Knowledge and 3 years’ experience with OVC M&E data.
■ Familiarity with the national OVC MIS, quality standards and other tools.
■ Ability to manage a complex integrated M&E system.
■ Data analysis using SPSS/EPI Info and other statistical software.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study. Applicants with a Social Work oriented degree BUT with professional qualifications and experience in data management systems will also be considered.
