professionals and amateurs, and many other markets.

Toon Boom’s in-house Animator and
Illustrator creates animations, illustrations, animation templates, tutorials
and more, as well as assisting the Documentation Specialist by acting as a

Subject Matter Expert (SME).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Draw
and animate illustrations, characters and other drawings for
documentation, tutorials, videos, brochures, clip art, web promotions, and
more.
Collaborate
with the Documentation Specialist as a SME to help write the product
documentation by demonstrating the animation production workflow, creating
complex examples and animation scenarios to illustrate concepts and
creating screen grabs.
Collaborate
with the Graphic Designer to help lay out brochures, create web banners,
advertisements or any other required marketing visuals.
Assist
the Video Editor with the creation of marketing videos (take-a-tour,
teasers, promotional trailers, interview editing) and render and package
them for different platforms (web, TV, DVD, theatre, tablet).
Create
training videos that explain the different products’ features in a
language and visual manner suited for targeted professional and
educational markets (professional, educational, consumer and children).
Research
the latest technology, software and techniques related to video editing
and implement them in video projects.
Organize
and archive all digital files.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

University
degree or Cegep diploma in Art or Animation.
2+
years (minimum) working as an animator.
Ability
to animate in both traditional and cut-out style or character designer in
the animation industry.
Excellent
knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro and Adobe CS5 or
higher (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects).
Excellent
knowledge of the animation workflow.
Good
English and French oral and written skills. Additional languages are a
plus.
Strong
computer skills in PC and Mac environments.
Ability
to quickly learn and master new technologies and software.
Ability
to work under pressure and respect tight deadlines.
Ability
to work in a collaborative team and share constructive input.
