THE OPPORTUNITY

Digital Commerce is a specialized group within Metroland that grows leading
Canadian digital properties including WagJag.com (a Canadian leader in daily
deals), Save.ca (a Canadian leader in digital flyers and coupons), and
TravelAlerts.ca (a growing Canadian leader in travel deals). Reporting to the
Marketing Manager, you will work collaboratively with a wide range of groups
across the Digital Commerce division to lead, build and grow the Save.ca
business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Contribute
    to the planning and execution of marketing programs such as email
    marketing, social media, contesting, loyalty programs, SEO, SEM, affiliate
    programs, events, and more.
  2. Gain
    experience in executing social engagement tactics, paid social promotion
    strategies, new platform exploration, content creation and community
    management.
  3. Contribute
    to the planning and development of new communication channels.
  4. Track
    marketing expenditures and produce monthly spending reports.
  5. Conduct
    market research as needed to understand end user trends and preferences.
  6. Collect
    and analyze consumer and competitive data and report on key insights for
    management teams.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Basic
    knowledge of online marketing practices.
  • Passion
    for problem-solving in a new and evolving industry.
  • Strong
    analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent
    written & verbal communication (proof-reading and copy-writing
    abilities with great attention to detail).
  • Strong
    project and time management skills.
  • Ability
    to work with a variety of teams (marketing, graphic design, finane).
  • Strong
    computer skills, specifically with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
