The Nourish and Develop Foundation (TNDF), located in a small rural community
within the GTA, is a non-profit charitable foundat
ion. TNDF aims to alleviate
poverty by enhancing local food security, as well as implementing educational
programs that foster themes such as renewable energy and sustainable
agriculture, endeavouring to build community self-reliance. TNDF’s philosophy
encourages and promotes participation where people in need are active players
in the solution and not just recipients of assistance. Our organization’s motto

TNDF programs and services include; a community garden, food skills training
program, educational workshops, time-banking, coordination of shared workspace
at the Nourish Community Hub, food pantry/bank assistance, social media

Job description:
The PAC Development Manager, while reporting to the Director of Operations,
works closely with staff, volunteers, and community partners. The PAC
Development Manager is responsible for leading a range of organizational
functions required to achieve TNDF’s mission, strategic priorities, and
community engagement goals. The main responsibilities of the PAC Development
Manager in collaboration with the Director of Operations include, but are not
limited to:
• Deliver solutions that develop, support, organize, engage and inspire staff;
focusing on leadership and talent development, growth management, staff
engagement, and program effectiveness.
• Provide management and oversight of TNDF digital media programs and tools
while positioning TNDF for growth and sustainability; as TNDF continues enhancing
its community profile.
• Develop collaborations by building strategic partnerships and community
stakeholder relationships for the organization; design and implement plans to
steward existing donors and sustain key collaborative arrangements with current
partners in the public, private and/or non-profit sectors.
• Create and manage a comprehensive strategic communication and marketing plan
to advance TNDF’s brand, reputation and recognition as an agency and service
delivery leader in the sector;
• Facilitate the development of a culture of co-operation within the
organization and other partnering non-profits, while supporting and growing
TNDF’s mission and strategic plan under the guidance of the Director of
Operations;
Required Qualifications:
• A minimum of five (5) years related non-profit professional experience with a
minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience managing and leading staff
across various functions;
• Prefer undergraduate or graduate university degree in community development,
organizational development, human resources, business administration or
management and/or food security, with documented relevant work experience;
• Sound understanding, knowledge and/or experience in such areas as: non-profit
organizational development, theory of change, institutional transformation and
growth, and strategic and operational communications;
• Excellent conflict resolution and empowerment skills, relevant critical
thinking and understanding of systemic issues, self-directed and creatively
resourceful, demonstrated commitment to social change and grassroots
alternative methodologies, strong team player;
Demonstrated key competencies and experiences related to:
• Strategic service delivery oversight – developing and implementing results
based, client centred approach to service delivery; planning to tackle
challenges and opportunities in the medium to long term by developing and
delivering innovative/integrative solutions that consider organizational needs,
capacities and overall philosophy;
• Professional leadership – modeling decisiveness and high standards by setting
ambitious goals and priorities; taking informed risks and innovative approaches
to improve TNDF’s programs, initiatives and results;
• Resource development- maximize the level and impact of the organization’s
resources, utilizing proven practices to assess options and act decisively to
involve team members in embedding these processes/practices through system
improvements;
• Change influence/commitments – focus on building acceptance of new ideas
through strategic and operational communications and by developing,
implementing and leading change management strategies and actions; overcoming
resistance to change through personal actions and by demonstrating the logic
and value of those ideas and actions for others to support and incorporate in
the workplace;
• Passion for TNDF’s mission and values and demonstrated ability to promote and
communicate organizational philosophy, mission and values to external and
internal stakeholders.
Terms and Conditions:
This is a permanent full-time position with an initial salary of $25.00/hour
for 32.5 hours a week (9:00 to 4:30) with occasional evening work. Plus, a
generous benefit package upon confirmation of employment after three (3)
months’ probationary period.
