The National Center
for State Courts is inviting applications from qualified candidates with a
proven commitment to access to justice and peace building for the position of
Grants Manager under the Supporting Access to Justice, Fostering Equity and
Peace (SAFE) Program in Uganda funded by USAID. USAID-SAFE is a five-year development
program that seeks to strengthen the Government of Uganda’s capacity with
respect to peace building and conflict mitigation.
Position Summary:
The position reports
to the Chief of Party and is Kampala-based with frequent in-country travel.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Management of the
Program’s grant activities;
• Provide
information and give support to grantees
• Monitoring and
oversight on grants compliance with USAID and NCSC regulations and policies;
• Monitor, manage
and compile grant management reports for all USAID SAFE funds;
• Maintain and
develop an effective filing system for all grants awarded;
• Identify
procedural or training issues for the grantees to improve the implementation
and quality of reported data;
Qualifications:
• 5 or more years’
experience as a Grants Manager
• Experience with
USAID technical and financial reporting requirements
• Strong
organizational skills and rigorops attention to detail
• Demonstrated
commitment to ethics in grant-making
• Strong public
speaking and training experience
• Expertize working
with computer software
