The
Ministry of Sports and Culture seeks to recruit an energetic, dynamic individuals
with ‘learn building skills and strong motivation to fill the following
positions;
1.
DIRECTOR OF CULTURE PROMOTION UNIT (Re-Adverted)
MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES  

Coordinate and supervise the activities of the unit


Elaborate and implement relevant policies and programs related to culture
promotion

Regularly evaluate the real situation and execution of the action plan of the
unit and take appropriate measures

Researches and updates current cultural and heritage program resources within
the community

Develop and coordinate projects related to culture promotion

Elaborate and follow up the implementation of strategic plans

Coordinate and liaise with all cultural partners and stakeholders

Evaluate the performance contracts of unit staff

Design and coordinate projects pertaining to cultural tourism on Rwanda
heritage

Design, evaluate and review MoUs

Coordinate participation of Rwanda in festivals outside Rwanda.
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The
following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a
combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience or on- the-
job training.

Must have AO in History, Culture Heritage Management, Heritage Studies, Culture
Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, Hospitality, Tourism, Literature with 3 years
of working experience or Master’s Degree or Equivalent in History, Culture
Heritage Management, Heritage Studies, Culture Studies, Anthropology,
Sociology, Hospitality, Tourism, Literature with 1 year of working experience.

Must have people management skills, with ability to lead, inspire, and mentor
subordinates, and to achieve the highest possible results through staff.

Must have Creative, Proactive, Customer focused, Solutions led and outcome
driven Skills;

Must have good analytical and problem solving skills.

Should have people management and high communication skills;

Must have Judgment and Decision Making Skills;

Must have Advanced Negotiation Skills;

Must have Interpersonal Skills;

Must have Complex Problem Solving Skills;

Must have excellent command of Kinyarwanda language, English or French, both written
and spoken, knowledge of all is an added advantage.

Must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point
2.
JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant to the Minister
MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Receive and orient the guests of the Minister

Ensure proper filing of documents in the Office of the Minister

Answer telephone calls

Draft texts from the Minister’s office to the stakeholders requiring minister’s
review and approval.

Orient correspondences and monitor to ensure that feedback is provided.

Plan the minister’s travels

Keep the diary of appointments of the Minister
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The
following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a
combination of formal schooling, self-education, and prior experience or on-
the- job training.

Must Al in Secretarial Studies, Office Management or AO in Public
Administration, Management, Sociology, Social Work, Law

Must have office Management Skills;

Should have Excellent Communication skills, Organizational, Interpersonal
Skills;

Should hive computer knowledge (Work Processing, Power Point and Internet)

Must have analytical and problem solving skills;

Must have time management skills;

Must be Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; Knowledge, of all is an
advantage
