Legal and corporate affairs manager
CMA Background & Mission:
The
Capital Market Authority (CMA) is a Public Institution established by the Law
N°11/2011 of 18/05/2011 to guide in the development of a capital market in
Rwanda. In order to fulfill its mandate, CMA is looking for a Legal and
Corporate Affairs Manager who will undertake the responsibility of regulation
and compliance issues.
Capital Market Authority (CMA) is a Public Institution established by the Law

Rwanda. In order to fulfill its mandate, CMA is looking for a Legal and
Corporate Affairs Manager who will undertake the responsibility of regulation
and compliance issues.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice to the CMA on
compliance matters relating to capital market industry - Drafting required laws and
regulations. - To identify the risks that capital
Market Industry faces and advise on them - To design and implement controls to
protect the industry from those risks - Handling of legal claims, processes
and client disputes - Performing surveillance and
monitoring of market participants. - Implement comprehensive compliance to
ensure the licensees’ comply with laws, rules and regulations
Qualifications & Experience:
- University Degree holder in Law and
at least 5 years of working experience in handling both internal and
external legal advisory roles, handling corporate/ legislative reforms and
understanding of company secretarial functions or Master’s degree in Law
and 3 years of working experience in handling both internal and external
legal advisory roles, handling corporate/ legislative reforms and
understanding of company secretarial functions - Excellent command in spoken and
written English and Kinyarwanda. - Be able to work independently and
have a good legal drafting, negotiation, presentation and analytical
skills. - Good interpersonal and communication
skills. - Some compliance experience in a
regulatory Agency could be an added advantage
