We are seeking a qualified and
experienced chef to join our head chef, kitchen staff and front of house team.
The Caledonian Hotel is located
in the
main street of Wonthaggi. The services at the hotel include automated
TAB, bar, regular live music, lounge, and a dining room seating up to one
hundred. The hotel has a liquor licence for 390 patrons. The family based
business strives for excellence in all services. Food preparation, cooking and
presentation must be of the highest standard for the developing Gastro Hotel
Menu.
The role is standard to any
professional kitchen – clean, neat, fast and organised.
The successful candidate must
have:
- a strong work ethic,
- excellent communication skills and management skills
- a strong ability to work well in a team, giving and
taking direction - high levels of food hygiene and OHS standards
- clear understanding and practice of EEO, EO and Sexual
Harassment law and workplace policies - the ability to work flexible hours
- a passion for the industry
- an ability to lead the team when the head chef is
off duty.
