The
African Democracy Forum (ADF) is a regional network of civil society
organizations and individuals upholding the rule of law and promoting good
governance through the twin principles of transparency and accountability in
the African continent with its Secretariat hosted by Never Again Rwanda. The
African Democracy Forum is seeking to hire a coordinator who will be charged
with coordinating the ADF Secretariat activities.

JOB
DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
- The
African Democracy Forum (ADF) coordinator will be in charge of providing
technical leadership to guide programming and key focus areas with regard
to democracy and human rights in Africa. - Provide
written, logistical, and general administrative support to the
Secretariat. - Development
of strategic partnerships, establishment and implementation of the
resource mobilization strategy. - Establish
key performance indicators to measure administrative improvements and
overall performance so as to maximize the implementation of ADF programs
and activities. - Carry
out annual performance evaluation for all employees under his/her
supervision, and provide training and mentorship on an on-going basis. - Work
with communications team to ensure impactful engagement with members
across Africa and other stakeholders within and beyond the continent. - Actively
engage in advocacy efforts to address issues and challenges regarding
democracy and human rights in Africa. - Financial
and substantive monitoring and evaluation of ADF projects with timely
reports presented to the Management Committee. - Any
other tasks required for smooth coordination and management of the
operations of the ADF.
EDUCATIONAL
QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters of Arts in Social Sciences or Law

EXPERIENCE
AND KNOWLEDGE:

- Minimum
of 5 years’ work experience in project management/coordination in the
fields of human rights, democracy and peace building. - Experience
in writing grants and proposals.
