Position Description:
Tanzania International Container Terminal Services Limited (TICTS) is a member
of Hutchison Port Holdings Group (HPH) of Hong Kong. Hutchison Port Holdings
(HPH), a subsidiary of the multinational conglomerate Hutchison Whampoa Limited
(HWL), is the world’s leading port investor, developer and operator. The HPH
network of port operations comprises 320 berths in 52 ports, spanning 26 countries
throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australasia.
Over the years, HPH has expanded internationally into other logistics,
transportation related and hotel businesses. These include cruise ship
terminals, airport and hotel operations, distribution centers, rail services,
and ship repair facilities. In 2011, the HPH port network handled a combined
throughput of75.1 million TEU worldwide.
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified, motivated individuals to
fill the position of Stores Superintendent in our Main stores section.
Successful applicant will be responsible for providing assistance and manages
the spare parts in the store in accordance to the company’s laid down store
management procedures, to ensure that store and warehouse are kept in
acceptable orderly, supervises delivery of stocks as per orders, supervises all
issues and entries to Main Pac stock levels. He / She should be proactive and
good team player with good interpersonal skills who is capable of assuming this
challenging role in the company.
Qualification and Experience
Applicants should possess Degree or its equivalent in relevant field and must
be registered with NBMM with at least 3 years’ experience in Stores at
supervisory level. He /She must be computer literate with a good command on MS
office applications, good communication skills in both written English and
Kiswahili together with the ability to work long hours.
