Bureau of Standards (TBS) is the National Standards
Body for Tanzania
whose vision is to be an internationally recognized centre of excellence in
standardization and quality assurance. The major objectives of TBS include the
formulation of a wide range of national standards and overseeing the
implementation of these standards in industry and commerce through the
already well-established certification schemes.
TBS is currently looking for dedicated and
self-motivated Tanzanians to fill the
following vacant positions:
Laboratory
Technician III (1Post)
Qualifications and Experience
Holder of NTA Level VI or FTC
in Electronics or equivalent qualifications from
recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Reports to the Head of Section
• Prepare Laboratory reagents
• Carry out routine tests
• To maintain laboratory equipment
• Carries out specified tasks connected with laboratory analysis,
consultancy and services under close supervision
• Participates in preparation, implementation, maintenance and review of
quality system
• Carries out verification of suppliers and services
• Carries out corrective and preventive actions
• Any other related duties as may be assigned by the Head of Section.
REMUNERATION
All above vacancies carry an attractive remuneration package in accordance
with the qualifications and experience stated in the specific vacant post.
