are invited for the position of Asset Engineer in our Asset Optimisation –
Asset Performance team within the Generation Business Unit based in Perth, CBD.
As the Asset Engineer, you will provide governan

ce of engineering risk and
process safety systems to ensure regulatory compliance and asset integrity. You
will also undertake detailed analysis of engineering risks to continuously
improve and develop effective risk management strategies to optimise the
performance of generation assets.

Your
key accountabilities will be to:
  • Provide
    governance of the engineering risk management framework and processes,
    namely the Engineering Risk Management System, Engineering Risk Assessment
    Process and Risk Based Inspection process.
  • Through
    engagement and collaboration with asset owners, develop and implement an
    integrated process safety framework including developing metrics, KPIs,
    continuous improvement and reporting.
  • Co-ordinate
    and lead the Engineering Risk Assessment Process.
  • Co-ordinate
    and manage the regulatory Risk Based Inspection process.
  • Co-ordinate
    and manage the Engineering Risk Management System.
  • Conduct
    reviews and audits to ensure risk assessment consistency and that risks
    are properly identified and mitigated.
  • Co-ordinate
    overall risk profiles and supervise the implementation of risk mitigation
    activities and ensure implementation is effective. 
  • Facilitate
    risk assessment workshops.
Our
ideal candidate will possess the following experience and attributes:
 
  • Relevant
    tertiary engineering qualification.
  • Risk
    management diploma preferred.
  • Experience
    in power generation or similar process industry with at least 5 years in a
    risk governance/management including process safety related role
  • Sound
    understanding of risk assessment and risk based decision making processes,
    including the concept of ALARP
