| Water For People background | Water For People is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) that works with people and partners to develop innovative and long-lasting solutions to developing countries’ water, sanitation, and hygiene problems. The organization strives to continually improve, experiment with promising new ideas, and leverage resources to multiply its impact. Water For People has secured funds from USAID to finance the Isoko y’Ubuzima WASH project that will operate in 10 Districts of Rwanda including Rwamagana, Kayonza, Ngoma, and Kirehe, Nyagatare, Ruhango, Nyanza, Nyamagabe, Nyabihu and Ngororero from 2021 to 2026. The purpose of this project is to increase and sustain equitable access to safe drinking water and sanitation services to improve health and contribute to a strong economy. To control and manage non-revenue water across the above ten districts, the project intends to install District Metered Areas (DMA). We are requesting interested and qualified contractors to supply and install the hydraulic materials and equipment listed in the below section to express to send their quotations to Water For People. | |

Additional conditions:
- All the equipment, accessories, and tools must be brand new, and therefore any item that shows any kind of defect, inherent either to production or piracy will be rejected.
- The supplied items must be accompanied by their catalogs.
- The offer that complies with all the specifications, and requirements and offers the lowest price, as well as all other evaluation criteria indicated, shall be selected. Any offer that does not meet the requirements shall be rejected.
- Any discrepancy between the unit price and the total price (obtained by multiplying the unit price and quantity) shall be re-computed. The unit price shall prevail, and the total price shall be corrected. If the offeror does not accept the final price based on the re-computation and correction of errors, its offer will be rejected.
- After the quotation has been submitted and at any time during the validity of the quotation, no price variation shall be accepted whether it is due to escalation, inflation, fluctuation in exchange rates, or any other market factors.
- Regardless of the outcome or the manner of conducting the selection process, Water For People through the Isoko y’Ubuzima project shall not be responsible for any costs associated with a contractor’s preparation and submission of the quotation nor be bound to accept any quotation, nor award a contract.
